WWH Podcast – Episode 50 (The Final Frontier)
Well, this is it. Fifty episodes in a little over a year’s time. Some, admittedly, better than others. Never professional, always fun. That’s what I’ll remember about doing the What We Hate Podcast. If I may pat myself on the back for a moment here, it’s extremely difficult to produce 50 original episodes of ANYTHING in any amount of time, let alone an extended podcast in roughly 14 months. It’s been a lot of fun. Thanks to the handful of you who listened, told friends, retweeted, or did anything else to help me. I’m eternally indebted to all of you.
As for everyone I didn’t thank in this space, be sure to listen to the show; your name may or may not come up. Sayin’. I’ll reiterate this as the date gets closer, but please be sure sure to check out Overheated when it launches on January 4. Follow it if you have a Tumblr account, RSS/bookmark it if you don’t. I know we’re going to do weird and great things over there.
Amidst all the pomp and circumstance, there’s a lot of really awesome music this week. New stuff from The Copyrights, Guiltmaker, Tubers, Failures’ Union, I Am Commiting A Sin, forgetters and others. Also, quite a few other crucial jams from bands who helped make What We Hate what it was in its three year existence.

I’m sad to see WWH go on hiatus, thank you for all the support for the bands on DTFH and for playing The Sandwiches. You really made 2009 a great year for the label. Can’t wait to see the new site.
It’s a shame to see this end, though it will give me a chance to catch up with all the episodes.
I always picked up some new bands from the shows and loved to see bands like Lipona getting an airing.
I’m already RSS’d up for Overheated and looking forward to it.
